The LOTTO IS GETTING BIGGER (€6500) so why not play it using CLUBZAP or in our local selling points.

Membership is now due and can be registered on CLUBZAP or Foireann or by paying at the Lotto on Monday nights by just calling to the clubhouse.

Work this Week: While our players are going through their fitness programs ahead of another busy season the ongoing work in the club continues.

Thanks to Michael Haverty and Denise who have been re-painting the main room in the pavilion and it looks lovely and clean. The Photographs will be restored and additional ones put up.

Thanks to Eamon Hartnett who has replaced all the lights that were not working and fixed others. This voluntary support is critical to the club’s progress. We have also begun to gather items broken or waste for removal to the recycle centre this week coming. We are also involved in acquiring additional turf for the areas of the field worn out during the last year and this is being done professionally so that the field will be in good shape for the season ahead.

Congrats to Darragh McCarthy on a very positive and influential display for the Tipperary Senior team in the National Hurling league game in Salthill.

Healthy Club Activities are continuing on Monday nights at the back field and in the Handball alley so why not contact Maura Cleary if interested. Thanks to Kenny Ryan and Jake Ryan for their work in leading some of the activities and to Margaret and John for the track sessions. Remember the lights are on in the field every evening from 6pm to 8pm so come along and use the walkway.

1984 Intermediate Team : Its hard to believe but it is 40 years since Toomevara GAA won the county intermediate championship and rejoined the Senior ranks. To mark this event the club plan on a celebration evening on Saturday 1st March (nearly finalised) where the great men of that team will be honoured in the clubhouse. All members will be free to attend and acknowledge their great achievement which ultimately led to great success at Senior Level.

Clothes Collection: During February we will leave the dressing room at the back field open for any clothes etc that you wish to get out of your wardrobes after the harsh winter. If the dressing room is locked just leave the bags there and we will put them in during the day. Thanks for your support in the past.

Storm : In general the club facilities were not too damaged during the recent severe storm. A tree did fall down on the backfield but thanks to Matt Ryan , Donie Hogan and Pat Hennessey it was removed. Remember that in future Red Alert warnings if you need assistance don’t be afraid to contact the GAA Club.

TIPPERARY GAA WIN A HOUSE COMPETITION : Purchase a ticket from the club for €100 and the club gets €30 refunded. Contact 0876737906  or secretary.toomevara.tipperary@gaa.ie and we will get back to you.

KEEP THE FAITH …………only a few more weeks and……….. WE WILL  BE HURLING AGAIN
