Health & Wellbeing
The hugely popular Ireland Lights Up and Irish Life Healthy Clubs Every steps Counts challenge are due to commence on January 6th and will run for 6 weeks with participating GAA clubs offering access to their walking tracks or organizing walking and jogging events for their communities on a weekly basis for the duration of the program. Last year it is estimated 40,000 participants from over 900 clubs joined the Every Step Counts Challenge on Irish Life’s MyLife app. These two events are an ideal way for GAA clubs to provide their local community with a social link to their club while starting off the year with an organized physical activity. It is still possible to register on https://www.getirelandwalking.ie >ireland-lights-up
When you register for Ireland Lights Up you are automatically registered for the Every steps Counts Challenge and you will receive an invitation to the MyLife app from Irish Life. Participation in the challenge is optional for clubs however participants do enjoy the fun element of meeting the challenge and the banter that goes with it.

The club will shortly celebrate the golden jubilee of the success of the Toomevara Intermediate team and details will follow shortly.
Works are underway in the back field to deal with drainage so please be careful and not go near works. Main field is closed to give it a chance to recover after the long Hurling and Camogie Year.
