It is with great sorry that Toomevara GAA club mourns the passing of its President Neil Williams ,
Since his first appointment in 1954 as a teacher in Clash school and later as Principal in Ballinree and Toomevara schools Neil has served our parish and club as a wonderful hurler an accomplished footballer an efficient administrator and above all as an excellent coach and mentor to numerous underage teams with Toomevara, from the 1970s onwards to the 2000's. This huge amount of effort by Neil and others was the driving force of what happened later for the club at senior level.
His love and passion for hurling knew no bounds and the massive contribution that he has made to development of hurling in our club is appreciated by many.
He was always a most helpful colleague to many whenever his wise counsel was sought.
Neil has left behind a wonderful and extraordinary legacy in the history of the GAA of Toomevara, a legacy that will live long with all associated with our club.
To his brother Pat and the extended Williams family we offer the sympathy of Toomevara GAA club.

A guard of honour for the arrival of Neil Williams funeral will take place tomorrow evening (Monday)
It’s due in the church at 6 pm, so the suggestion is to assemble in the Main Street in Cloughjordan at about 5.30/5.45. Please wear club colours & spread the word.
