Scór na bPáistí Co. Final :
The Toomevara girls were very excited heading for Halla na Féile in Cashel last Sunday 29th starting at 12pm. The Rince Foirne was the first competition on stage and the Toomevara 6 hand reel was first up! . The girls looked and danced beautifully and showed great style and confidence for six young girls. The next Clubs to dance were Newcastle, Rockwell Rovers & Upperchurch Drombane, all a very high standard also. Congratulations to the well-established dancing team in Newcastle, who won the Rince Foirne.
Tuaim uí Mheara CLG were extremely proud to be represented in Scór Figure Dancing as it has been well over 20 years since the Club was participating at this level. Well done again to our Cáiliní Álainn Ellie Young, Antonette King, Aoife O'Neill, Mary King, Méabh O'Neill, Brigid King- We're looking forward to seeing these girls on stage again soon.
In the Recitation competition, Toomevara was represented in Scór Recitation by the fabulous Ellie Hayes who recited for us a poem called 'I'm looking for a husband'. She was brilliant on stage with strong presence, clear expression and looked the part!. She competed against Ballyporeen, Drom Inch and Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams- again all very talented. In the end, Knockavilla won the gold medal . Congratulations to Ellie for reaching the Co. Final and delivering such a fantastic performance.
That concludes the Scór na bPáistí for 2026 and the Club would like to thank the Scór Committee for their contribution and dedication especially Mairéad O'Neill, Niamh O'Brien & Geraldine O'Meara. Thanks to all the parents, teachers and friends who supported the children and travelled to the Parish, Area, North and County finals. Great memories have been made this year and there's brilliant talent in the Parish. Congratulations again to all involved.
