U21: Our U21 hurlers had a fine victory over Roscrea in Roscrea on Sunday afternoon in their round 1 clash in the North U21A Hurling Championship. The lads will now watch on eagerly at the clash between Roscrea and Silvermines next weekend. A win for Silvermines would see the lads qualified with a game to spare.

Team vs Roscrea: Darragh Hayes; Cathal Frend, Stuick, Cormac Frend; Brian O'Farell, Dan O'Farrell, Oisin Troy; Jake Hackett, Jack Doran; Patrick Hackett, Darragh McCarthy, Austin Duff; Jack Hogan, Adam Hall, Tim Flaherty.
Subs used: Ted Evans, Cody Quirke, David O’Brien, Jack Harford, Liam Hackett.

The next round fixture can be seen below.

  • Round 2 vs Silvermines in Toomevara, Sunday November 2 @ 12 noon.

Underage:  A massive congratulations to our U15 hurlers who were crowned County U15A champions on Saturday after a phenomenal final win over Moycarkey Borris in Templemore. Despite an unlucky dismissal and being reduced to 14 players after eight minutes, the lads produced an unbelievable performance to secure victory on a 5-14 to 0-8 scoreline.

Thanks to the management team of Noel Daly, Declan Kelly, Noel Cummins, Liam Ryan, and Kenny Ryan for helping the lads deliver on their potential throughout the year and on the day. See the match report for full details.

Quid Games
: Darragh McCarthy will be taking part in Tipperary GAA’s latest fundraiser to raise money for Tipperary GAA and Toomevara GAA respectively. He will be amongst a host of personalities who will take part in the initiative, with all participants required to raise €3,000 to take part.

Darragh has given us some brilliant days this year so any help to get the money raised would be a nice way for members to repay him. To do so, you can click the following link to donate or visit our social media pages where a QR code will send you to the right place. As stated already, some of the money raised will go back to our club, so please help out if you can.
Ball Alley: The club recently upgraded the ball alley lights to install new top of the range LED lights. This has made an immediate improvement to our ball alley. The lights are brighter, they come on instantly as well as being very efficient on electricity.

Many thanks to Willie Ryan for his generous time and expertise on the installation of these lights. The club gratefully received a grant from Tipperary County Council that covered the cost of buying the lights, which meant there has been absolutely no cost to the club for such a fantastic addition.

Sympathies: All in Toomevara GAA were saddened to hear the news of the untimely passing of Tipperary football manager Philly Ryan on Saturday last. We send out deepest sympathies to his wife Anna Ryan of Gurtagarry, the Ryan family at large, and the Ryan’s and McCarthy’s of this parish at this difficult time.
