Club Lotto: Our weekly draw takes place on Tuesday night this week due to the Tipperary hurlers' homecoming in Thurles. Tickets can be purchased online, in the shops, the Post Office, and pubs, or by contacting a committee member. The jackpot for this week stands at €2,500.
Senior: Hard luck to our senior hurlers who lost out narrowly to Kiladangan in a tightly contested North Senior Hurling Championship semi-final last Wednesday evening.
The lads can now look ahead to next Saturday’s round 1 County Senior Hurling Championship clash with Holycross Ballycahill in Borris-Ileigh. The game starts at 7pm. Everyone get over to this one and shout on the lads.
Junior A: Our Junior A hurlers had an emphatic victory over Roscrea in the North Junior A Hurling Championship last Friday evening, winning on a scoreline of 3-27 to 2-13. The lads have two games remaining in the group stage, with Kiladangan their next opponents on August 15th.
Junior B: Our Junior B hurlers continue to wait for confirmation of their overdue fixture against Templederry Kenyons in the North Junior B Hurling Championship. The game is expected to be confirmed for this coming weekend. Keep an eye on socials and ClubZap for confirmation.
Underage: Our U17 hurlers got the week off to the best possible start on Monday, recording an impressive 1-29 to 2-14 win over a good Nenagh Éire Óg side.
On Tuesday, our U13A hurlers travelled to Newport where they fell short against a very good Newport team. The lads stayed fighting right to the end, but eventually lost out.
Finally, on Thursday, the U15A hurlers had a brilliant win over Ballina in Toomevara. The lads started well and maintained their dominance, recording a fine victory by the final whistle.

Tuesday, Aug 5th: North U13D Hurling Championship - Toomevara vs Ballina in Dolla at 8:00pm.
Wednesday, Aug 6th: North U19A Hurling Championship - Toomevara vs Kilruane MacDonaghs in Cloughjordan at 7:15pm.
Thursday, Aug 7th: Katie Manton U15C Hurling League - Toomevara vs Newport in Toomevara at 7:00pm.
Thursday, Aug 7th: North U15A Hurling Championship - Toomevara vs Newport in Newport at 7:30pm.
Last Man Standing Fundraiser: The club is running a Last Man Standing fundraiser ahead of the upcoming Premier League season next month. Entry for the competition is €10, with an overall prize fund for the winner amounting to €500. This is a winner-takes-all competition.
The rules are simple:
- Pick a team to win every gameweek
- If your team wins, you progress to the next round. However, if they lose or draw, you are out.
- The same team can’t be picked twice.
- The process continues until one person remains.

Well done: Well done to KJ Dunne and the Tipperary Under 15 hurlers who beat Cork in the quarter-final of the Arrabawn competition in Tallow on Sunday morning. KJ was captain of the team as they qualified for the Arrabawn weekend on August 30th.
