Our weekly draw takes place on Tuesday night this week due to the Tipperary hurlers homecoming in Thurles. Tickets can be purchased online, in the shops, the Post Office, and pubs, or by contacting a committee member. The jackpot for this week stands at €2,400.

A mighty congratulations to Darragh, Mikey, and Paddy and the Tipperary team on today's incredible All-Ireland final victory in Croke Park. 

We have been lucky as a club to have had some brilliant representatives play in and win All-Ireland titles with Tipperary over the years, but Darragh's display today will live long in the memory of every Toomevara person who were lucky enough to be in Croke Park. 

We are immensely proud to have a player like him in our club, and after such a turbulent first year at senior level, Darragh produced a performance we all knew he was capable of. We look forward to the day that Darragh, Mikey, and Paddy walk into St Michael's Park with the Liam MacCarthy.

Our senior hurlers will finally make their championship start this coming Sunday against Lorrha in the North Senior Hurling Championship quarter-final. The game is the first of a doubleheader in Dolla with a throw-in fixed for 4pm. Come out and support the lads.

Our Junior A hurlers lost out to a strong Nenagh team in the fourth round of the North Championship last Friday in Cloughjordan. The lads stayed fighting to the end but came up short on the day by four points. The team now has a week off before facing Roscrea in round 5.

Our Junior B hurlers will have to wait for the fixture for the second round of the North Championship against Templederry Kenyons after the game fixed for last Saturday was postponed. 

Our U17 hurlers had a busy week with two games played over the course of last week. First, the lads had a good win over Ballina on Monday evening in Toome, registering a 2-17 to 1-14 win, before travelling to Lorrha on Friday where another win was achieved over Lorrha Rovers, winning out by 4-20 to 5-11.

Well done also to our U13D hurlers who had a fine win over Ballina on Friday evening.

Tuesday, July 22nd: North U13A Hurling Championship - Toomevara vs Ballinahinch/Templederry in Toomevara at 7pm.

Wednesday, July 23rd: North U19A Hurling Championship - Toomevara vs Borris-Ileigh in Toomevara at 7:15pm.

Thursday, July 24th: North U15A Hurling Championship - Toomevara vs Kilruane MacDonaghs in Cloughjordan at 7:30pm.

St. Joseph's College Borris-Ileigh, will be holding their annual Golf Classic early next month in aid of Tara McCormack's recovery. All support for this event would be greatly appreciated.
