Our weekly draw takes place every Monday night. Tickets can be purchased online, in the shops, the Post Office, and pubs, or by contacting a committee member. The jackpot for this week stands at €1,700.
Tipperary
Congratulations to Darragh McCarthy, Jake Hackett, and Jackie Meagher who were all part of the Tipperary U20 hurling setup who won the All-Ireland U20 title on Saturday last. The lads have put in huge work all year to get this win and we’re delighted that their efforts have paid off. Well done, lads!
We wish Cody Quirke and Cormac Frend the very best of luck in the upcoming Celtic Challenge U17 Hurling final this coming Saturday against Cork. A fixture has yet to be confirmed for this game. Keep an eye on socials for the fixture during the week.
Junior A
Our Junior A hurlers' date for their long-awaited North Hurling League final has been confirmed. The lads will face Nenagh Éire Óg on Friday, June 13th, in Templederry at 7:30pm. We wish the team and management the very best of luck.
Junior B
Our Junior B hurlers continued their good form in round 4 of the league last Thursday evening, defeating Ballina in torrential rain in Ballina. The lads started strongly and put in a huge effort to come away with a 1-15 to 0-15 win.
The lads will face Burgess on Friday in their final group game of the league, where a win will qualify the lads for a league semi-final. The game will take place in Toome at 7pm. Best of luck to the team.
Underage
Well done to our U15D footballers who had a brilliant win in the county final in Holycross last Sunday evening, defeating Durlas Óg. The lads were full value for their win. Well done, lads.
Golf Classic
Our annual golf classic took place in Nenagh Golf Club last Friday and again, proved to be a big success with big numbers getting behind the annual fundraiser. We thank all our members who supported the classic yet again, along with sponsors who have continued to give us big support.
Well done to our organising committee for their brilliant preparations in delivering another excellent outing on behalf of the club
Kieran Delaney Memorial Tournament
Toomevara GAA hosted the annual Kieran Delaney Tournament last Sunday, and again, it was a fantastic success for all involved. A fine crowd turned out to see four brilliant contests, and a hearty congratulations goes to our senior hurlers who won the tournament this year, defeating Monaleen and Upperchurch Drombane in their games.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to Monaleen, Kilmaley and Upperchurch Drombane for their participation in this year’s competition.
We also thank everyone who contributed refreshments or stewarded the event.
Spinathon
The club Spinathon in Barack Obama Plaza took place last Saturday afternoon. Several club members put their cycling skills to good use to help raise a fine total of €2,262 for the club. Thank you to Eamon Hartnett for organising the event and to Bernie Hackett for his help on the day.
