Huge congratulations to our Senior Scór Music Group on representing our club, county and province so well in the All-Ireland Senior Scór Final in Castlebar on Saturday. A full house in the TF Royal were treated to Ireland’s highest level of music, song, dance, drama and quiz time in each of the eight highly contested competitions.
Running since 1970 the Ceol Uirlise competition has only been won by a Tipperary club on two occasions: Newport in 2015 and again in 2017. The Toomevara group played beautiful music but were beaten on the day by Drumcliffe Rosses Point, Co. Sligo.
Their performance of ‘Tom McElvogue’s Jig’ and ‘Ormond Sound & Lucky in Love Reels’ can be viewed on the TG4 you-tube page at 4hrs 20mins. A big group of Toomevara supporters travelled by bus and cars to support the musicians. We are so proud of you all and your Munster Final win! Toomevara abú!
