Congratulations to Mairead O Neill and Toomevara GAA who received a Bronze Medal at the Joe McDonagh Award ceremony in Croke Park.

We would strongly encourage members of the Healthy Club and other users of the grounds/facilities to join the club as SOCIAL Members at least. 

TRACK AND TONE: Toomevara GAA Healthy Club hosted a 5 K at the track on November 25th to mark the completion of our six week Track and Tone programme. This programme involved both beginners and improvers Pilates classes in the ball alley and a couch to 5 k programme for those training for the 5k.

GET FIT IN SIX PROGRAMME- We will have 2 circuit classes commencing on Monday January 6th   for 6 weeks at 6.30 pm in the ball alley. These will be facilitated by Jake Ryan, Kenny Ryan and Maura Cleary. Open to all from 16 years up. Exercises will be a mix of strength work, light cardio and mat exercises. Exercises can be tailored to suit all abilities. Places are limited.  To book text or whatsapp Maura on (087)6541826.

COUCH TO 5K: In conjunction with our Fit in Six programme we will have our ever popular couch to 5 k programme. The track will be open to all walkers, joggers of all ages. Lights will be on at the track from 6.30-7.30 pm.

IRELAND LIGHTS UP: The GAAs Ireland Lights Up Programme will commence on January 8th  Toomevara GAA are registered for this event and will have walking lights on at the track every evening.

MY LIFE STEP CHALLENGE: The club are registered for the 2024 My Life Step Challenge which will run from January 8th  to February 12th  Download the My Life App and join the challenge.

 BREAST CHECK TALK: Breast check awareness talk on January 22nd , further details tofollow.

COMMUNITY WALKS- Our last club walk in September was to Moylussa. We will continue these throughout 2024 with the first walk scheduled for Sunday January 12th. Further details to follow.

 Other plans for 2024 include mindfulness for kids, a mental health workshop and to continue with our community clean up events.
