Earlier this year, over 100 volunteers from across our parish and beyond have come together to rehearse and film scenes from six iconic movies. Under the expert guidance of our talented producer, cameraman, and editor, Jamie Griffin, these films were shot at various local landmarks, giving the event a unique community feel. Supported by a dedicated team of club volunteers, the actors’ hard work will be showcased to a sold-out audience of 600 at our highly anticipated Movie ceremony. This exciting event will take place on November 9th at the Abbeycourt Hotel.
This joint fundraiser by Toomevara GAA & Camogie Club was created not only to raise essential funds for our facilities but also to foster a strong sense of community spirit within our parish.
Where Your Money Will Go
Your generous contributions will help bring our vision for St. Michael’s Park to life. Phase One of our facility upgrade will commence in 2025 and will include the following enhancements:
- Upgrading the existing lights on the back field to meet high training standards, allowing teams to train year-round.
- The addition of two new dugouts to the back field.
- Improvements to our popular walking track, making it an even safer place for community exercise with the installation of a perimeter fence to separate the track from the playing fields.
- The support we’ve received from both the community and volunteers has been overwhelming, and we are deeply grateful for your financial contributions and dedication to this cause.
