Senior

We will begin our County Championship campaign on Saturday at 7.15 in Dolla against Borris-Ileigh. Best of luck to all players and management.

Congratulations to Shane Hassett

And the Clare senior hurling team on their All Ireland hurling final win on Sunday. Shane is Toomevara senior team coach as well as the Clare team coach. Well done Shane.

U17

On Monday the U17s played Kilruane in Toomevara. It finished in a draw 2.17 to 0.23. Tonight, Kiladangan will come to the village at 7.30 in the next round.

U13

It was a good evening away to Nenagh on Tuesday as both the A & D teams picked up wins following two close matches. Tomorrow night both teams travel to Newport. The D team are on at 7 while the A team will take the field at 8.

Odd Balls Novelty Bingo Night

U15

The U15s took on Ballina on Thursday evening in Toome but unfortunately, they lost 2.14 to 1.11. In the next round they are away to Portroe on Thursday at 7.30.

Junior B

The B’s hosted Moneygall on Friday evening but lost 2.10 to 0.10 in round 2. They have this week off before heading to Ballina the following week. 

U19

We began our U19 championship season on Wednesday evening in Toome when Nenagh visited us. We played out an exciting draw 1.13 to 0.16. Moneygall/Clonakenny are our next opposition in a couple of weeks’ time. 

The 2024 draw commences shortly and after a successful year for the club last year when 10 members won prizes, we are hoping for more in the year ahead. Please contact your promoter to pay for this year’s draws. Feel free to contact Josephine Doran or any club officer if you want to join the draw. A percentage of every entry is returned to the club.

We held our draw on Thursday for our All Ireland Hurling Final tickets. Congratulations to Tracy Hayden of Bishopstown, Cork on winning. Thank you to all who bought a ticket. This fundraiser was greatly supported.

Condolences

The club wish to offer our sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Mary Carroll (Borrisoleigh) who sadly passed away last week. Mary’s daughter Helen Dunne is married to senior manager Ken while KJ and Molly line out with our underage teams. May she Rest in Peace.
