Club Lotto

Our weekly draw takes place every Monday night. Tickets can be purchased online, in the shops, Post Office and pubs or by contacting a committee member. The jackpot for this week stands at €3,300.

Our Nursery Group is back in action every Saturday at 10am. All boys and girls aged 4 to 5 years old are welcome.

The senior’s played Roscrea in the opening round of the North Championship on Sunday. Following an entertaining game, played in dead heat we won 1.24 to 1.23. We now play Nenagh in the semi-final in 2 weeks.

The A team defeated Ballinahinch on Friday 0.19 to 1.13. We will play Kilruane in the next round on Friday evening at 7.30 in Roscrea.

We had the honour of hosting the Regional Finals of Feile na nGael on Saturday. We welcomed Banner (Clare), Clonmel Óg, St Kieran’s (Limerick), Charleville (Cork) and Abbeyknockmoy (Galway) to the field. After winning both our group matches against St Kieran’s and Banner respectively, we progressed to the semi-final where we took on Clonmel Óg. The semi-final also went our way winning 2.3 to 0.5. Charleville were the opposition in the final and after a cracking game of hurling it was the visitors who just edged it 0.8 to 0.7. Toome lost nothing in defeat though and can take a lot of positives out of the day. Well done to all players and management. A thank you to all the volunteers and organisers who helped to make the day a great success. 

Our main club fundraiser for the year is now in full swing. Some of our movies have already commenced filming. There will be various events taking place over the coming months. TedFest will be on in The Shop Gurtagarry on Saturday June 29th at 8pm. Join us for a night of craic and ceili. Dress as your favourite Fr Ted character and be part of the Toomevara GAA Oskars. Tickets are €10. The QR code is on our social media pages as well as on Sale in the Pharmacy and The Zip Yard. Both U13 teams started their championships on a positive note last Tuesday against Roscrea, the A team had a big win while the D team won out 0.3 to 0.1. Tomorrow evening the D team are in Borris-Ileigh at 7pm while the A team travel to Moneygall for a 7.30 throw in. 

The U17s are at home to Newport this evening at 7.30 in the first round of the North Championship. Next Monday we are away to Borris-Ileigh in round 2 at 7.30.

Our U15s start their championship campaign on Thursday at home to Burgess at 7.30.

If you are shopping in Tesco Nenagh over the coming weeks,we would appreciate if you could pick up your blue token and pop it into the Toomevara GAA slot by the door. Every blue token selected for Toomevara GAA is a donation from Tesco to the club.

The Tipperary Minors will play Kilkenny in the All-Ireland Final in Nowlan Park on Saturday at 5.30. Best of luck to Austin Duff, Billy O’Brien, Patrick Hackett and selector Willie Ryan. Tickets are still available on Ticketmaster.
